The architectural design of the Childcare Centre won the LAMA (Local Authority Members Association) in 2009. Pictured at the award ceremony in Dublin were Danny Groarke, SDS;  Cllr. Cyril Burke, Ann Burke, Erzsebet Cseste (Architect SDS), Miriam Callaghan (Presenter RTE), Breege Jennings, Nora Conroy and Peter Gannon (SDS).
